Among Portanuova’s curiosities, there is even a permanent public art installation: Egg, created by Alberto Garutti with the aim to involve the passer-byers in a moment of creative interaction with the public space and the city. Made of 23 chrome-plated brass pipes, it stretches out to four stories of the building it is seated in, from the parking lot upwards, and “listens” to sounds, noises, and words. A real invitation for children and adults to chat from floor to floor or simply listen to the voice of Milan.
